An Eco-Friendly Oven Made of CardBoard
Sometime it is simple ideas or invention that can be world changing and in this case the fight against global warming. An example is the eco-friendly cardboard oven called the “Kyoto Box”. The inventor is Jon Bohmer and the cost of inventing the eco-friendly oven. . . US$5. For this he won won the FT Climate Change Challenge ( backed by the Financial Times and Hewlett-Packard). This body sought to find and publicize the most innovative and practical solution to climate change. Below is how the the “Kyoto Box” looks like.
The name of the box is named after the UN’s Kyoto Protocol. It is hoped that the use of this solar cooker will help to save trees from being cut down for fire woods. Cutting down trees for fire wood is wide spread and by saving trees this can help in the fight against global warming.
